Manage watering schedules, monitor individual zones, and adjust settings from virtually anywhere using the intuitive Rachio mobile app.
Smart Weather-Based Watering
Rachio Weather Intelligence™ Plus helps automatically adjust watering based on local weather conditions. Rain, wind, and freeze skips help prevent unnecessary irrigation when conditions are unsuitable, saving water while helping protect your landscape.
12-Zone Irrigation Control
Manage up to 12 irrigation zones with customizable watering schedules tailored to different areas of your yard. Configure watering based on plant types, sun exposure, and landscape needs, whether you're maintaining grass, flower beds, vegetable gardens, or drought-tolerant areas.
Remote Control Through the Rachio App
Take control of your sprinkler system directly from your smartphone. Start, stop, pause, or skip individual zones and watering schedules without needing to access the controller physically. The app also makes it easy to create schedules and adjust settings as your yard's watering needs change.
Rachio Yard Map and Hyperlocal Weather
The Rachio Yard Map feature helps you create a virtual representation of your landscape using automatic yard mapping. Hyperlocal weather information supports more informed irrigation decisions, helping your watering schedule respond to conditions around your property.
Smart Home Integration
Connect your irrigation system with compatible smart home platforms, including Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. These integrations provide additional convenience when managing your watering routines alongside other connected home devices.
Easy Installation and Setup
The Rachio 3 is designed for straightforward installation, with guided setup instructions, upgraded one-touch connectors, and a sleek magnetic cover. Its dual-band WiFi compatibility supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks, helping integrate the controller into compatible home networks.
Convenient On-Unit Controls
In addition to app-based management, the controller features an intelligent light bar and physical controls for Pause, Run, and Skip functions. These features provide convenient access to essential operations directly at the unit.
Water Conservation and Potential Savings
By adjusting watering schedules according to weather and landscape conditions, the Rachio 3 can help reduce unnecessary irrigation. Rachio states that users may reduce their water bills by up to 50%, although actual savings depend on climate, existing watering habits, landscape conditions, and local water rates.
